No Place For Hate
Our school was officially designated as a No Place for Hate® School on May 13, 2014. The No Place For Hate® Program is a campaign for Peace and Anti-Violence. It is one of the programs that is offered through the Anti-Defamation League: the Florida Region. In order to be a No Place for Hate® school the school must complete 3 school wide initiatives that are directly related to Peace, Anti-Bullying, and Tolerance. The school wide initiatives that we completed were the Diversity Logo Poster Contest, I am Unique Posters, Learn about My Culture Presentations, and Peace Makers vs. Peace Breakers class posters. To learn more about No Place for Hate® and the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), go to: www.adl.org.
Parents can gain valuable insight about our Broward County Schools Anti-Bullying Policy 5.9 by going on-line and viewing the Parent Anti-Bullying Training Module. The module focuses on how to recognize bullying, being aware of the warning signs, how to report alleged bullying, the effects of bullying, etc. The parent-training module is located at: www.brainshark.com/browardschools/parentantibullying. We encourage all of our parents to take a few minutes to view the training module and converse with your children about our Anti-Bullying Policy. Thank you.
We would like to THANK YOU for all your support to our schools. The General Obligation Bond was approved by the voters at the November 4, 2014 election. Our children deserve safe, renovated schools that offer the proper technology tools to prepare them for college and career.
You made a difference. Thank you for your continued support!
